Tally LA is paid for by the people who use it, so we want to hear from you: questions, comments, concerns, tips, and especially errors in our data.

Checking that you're a person…

Messages are accepted from California only. We check the location of your internet connection to confirm it, then discard the address.

Your information

  • We will never spam you. No mailing list, no newsletter, no sharing. The only emails you'll get are our reply.
  • What we keep: your name, email, ZIP code and message. From the location check, only the result, such as "California, US". Never your IP address.
  • What it's for: reading and answering your message and fixing errors you report. Nothing else.
  • Who sees it: only the people who run Tally LA. It is stored in our database and in a private spreadsheet. Both are reached only over encrypted connections and require a sign-in.
  • We never sell or rent it, and we don't use it for advertising or fundraising.
  • Deleting it: send a message asking us to delete your information and we will, within 30 days.
  • Publishing: we may describe a correction you reported. We won't publish your name or message without asking.

Reporting an error

Tell us the page, the number, and what you think it should be. A link to the record that shows it helps. Every correction is logged with the date it was made.
